Very nice track

Mimimalist and chilled way the hell out. A very versatile sounding track - this could be used to reinforce any number of moods if used as a score. Very cinematic. It's simplicity really shines.

You get a big fat 5 from me for this track.

pitbulljones responds:

Hey thanks LJC. I do kinda tend to restrain myself with regards to tracks, sometimes not tho, but this track as you know is about atmosphere there's very little need to embelish a track like this. i have to agree with about it's versatility too, it does have this ambiguous nature regarding scoring a film, it won't happen tho. Thanks for your review mate. and the five.

Not bad work on this

polyrythms like crazy. The percussion definitely needs to be tied together with somethig doesn't it. The melody did a decent job of smoothing things out a bit. I'm very glad that you participated in this little exercise - I hope it did what it was supposed to do! As a normal submission I would be a bit more harsh with the scoring but I understand that it's very difficult to get the numbers to do what you want them to without changing them. For your participation, you get teh 5!

:D

attemptedperfection responds:

I could've sworn I'd responded to this review three times already... I'm very glad I participated in this little exercise too; this one is actually one of my favorites... I don't even know why, something about it just makes me want to keep listening... at any rate, thanks for the review!

Really nice job!

Very nice work considering the constraints put on you by the numbers.

This was quite a sad little track - I would have never guessed that a formula would have resulted in such an emotional piece.

This gets a 5 - very very nice job!

WinTang responds:

Thanks LJ, funnily enough the constraints spurred me along when I was making this.
The adjective "emotional" means a lot :)

Damn nice work!

Damn nice job - sounds great - high energy - everything I would want in it.

This is pro work my friend!

Thanks for your vote, LJCoffee! You voted 5 for Why Bank Re-Mastered, raising its score from 0.00 to 5.00.

Quickbeam responds:

Thank You Kind Sir!

Excellent mathematical adaptation!

This is exactly the type of thing that I was hoping to hear. This is an absolutely fantastic track. The only thing that might make it better would be the addition of additional instruments - Strings and brass could add so much.

You sir, are a master.

You get teh 5!

( I really should conspire with a bunch of others to see if we can't get the score to 3.14 - that would be the bomb )

Khuskan responds:

I was going to write it for piano, string quartet and percussion, but I got so into the piano part, I didn't know how I would get other instruments to fit in :O

Loved it!

Nice part 2.

Gotta love the slightly dark stuff - great job on the vox.

excellent work 5/5

Nice review part 2.

Gotta love the slightly dark stuff - great job on the pox.

excellent review 5/5

Nice

A bit too tired to make a real review, so i'll just this is great work! Sometimes, your stuff reminds me of LJCoffee's (dunno why, though. Because you make experimental stuff, too.)
Thanks for your vote, LJCoffee! You voted 5 for moderntragedy, raising its score from 2.50 to 3.33.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

WTF!? from 2.5 to 3.33 So then you got zeroed already eh? - you must be doing something right then!

I'm diggin' it - great percussive swerves and curveballs. So nice to hear people tell the 4 on the floor to go fuck itself.

snoballandthmonyshot responds:

thanks old man,
i love zero voters, i wish i was one but alas... as for 4 to the floor, we would all be doomed without it, it is the very fabric of our society, without it there would be chaos, we'd be reduced to jungle law.

relentless triplet action

Nice job - Love the way you broke the beat up with the triplets. Had a nice sort of dirty drugs, skanky bitches and industrialized gangsta shit feel to it. You've become one of my favorite artists here lately. Couldn't make out many of the vocals on the first pass - I'll need to have a few more listens.

You get a 5 for this - this far exceeds the average NG track in style production and overall coolness.

Talk to you later

snoballandthmonyshot responds:

roflcakes, who are u trying to kid, i've always been ur favourite. as for the lyrics, only 2 lines in the whole thing - straight up, caught in the crossfire, straight up, crushed in the qualifier, string it up, string it up, string it up... omg, lyrical geeenius.

Finish it!! :D

Great work as always but I'm not sure that this is one of my favorites. The percussion was nice and slippery - and for a demo it's great - depending on which way you go with this it could be either a really good track or a really fucking good track!

Nice bizarre little bits in there - overall I liked the distant sound that it has.

Good good good - I'm clicking the 5!

StrangeEncounters responds:

Nice. Thanks for the review. I have a lo-fi kingbastardish track that has been in production for almost a month now. Lol. Got to work on that. Thanks for the review! I'll finish this someday. :)

laid back - too easy

Nice job - downtempo eh? usually good stuff - water bowls made a nice companion to the open space light synths. Not much more to say on it - a nice switch from the faster paced mania that I've heard from you - I guess it's good to change gears from time to time huh?

I'll give it a 5/5

:D

Splagawaga responds:

yeh definately good to wind down with music aswell as wind up. this was just a relaxed chill out track to occupy me after a nice day. nothing more to it than that :)

I do all of the above. I mean it. I can back it up too.
