Congratulations!

You got in A-bot's top 5!

This is a very good track - It conjures some pretty strong imagery - Most of the instruments were great but there was something synthetic about some of it - Some of the instruments sounded a little , well, generated... That is - they didn't sound like real instruments - maybe it was the timpanis ? - overall this is a well composed track! I would only suggest adding a little more variety with the instruments - I could hear mostly what sounded like strings and ...ummm... french horns maybe? - muted brass basically - If you added a few more supporting melodies - woodwinds and such - and divided the strings up a little more - lower notes to bigger strings - higher notes up on smaller ones - that sorta thing it might have a 'bigger' sound to it.

Oh hell - don't mind me - I'm just rambling on and on now...

It was VERY good!

XGM-Zeth responds:

Woah, I didnt even know i did.

Well, I do agree that some of the instruments kinda sound generated, But it's all i got though, and the timpani's actually got kinda good feedback from some other guys.

And indeed, it was french horns.
Well, I must thank you for supporting me in the ways of review. Critism is always welcome as long as its constructive.

Thank you for reviewing, and for giving suggestions.
Good luck further on :)

Nice!

Trancy! - Really good job on the vocals - This is a great track. I'm not usually much for the happy dancy stuff but this was very well done. I could hear this in any club downtown.

Great job on it - and congratulations on the A-bot 2nd place!!

Keep it up!

BYE!

Congrats!

Congratulations on the A-bot 1st.

This is a really decent track - you deserve recognition. The piano feels a little out of place - it seems a little too happy but overall this is definitely an energetic song.

Good job!

SWiTCH responds:

Thanks man!

Decent job!

The drums real? - they sound like it! - a bit of a long intro but once it started it wasn't bad. I don't know that I care too much for the timbres used - it sounded a little too much like real drums with midi overtop. - the main melody was pretty manic - it wasn't bad but once again - the exact sound used didn't feel right - maybe the attack was set too long... I dont know... Overall this was a decent piece though - keep it up! you're doing great!

JonH2O responds:

It's cool you mentioned the drums because I was trying to make them sound as real as possible. I was afraid I made them too loud though. The guitar was real, however. And as for manic melody, I wish I knew exactly how to tell the difference when I alter attack and stuff. I don't even notice the difference. Thanks for the review man.

Too bad... So sad...

Thx for the review

Not bad...

but not great either - it was a solid riff - but the loop was... well .. a loop! - maybe good for the AP front page - work on it a little - might make a really nice bridge for another song.

Nice...Smooth

Hey - I figured I'd drop a few reviews - this is really good man! - Very smooth - nice job on it - audio flutters were very cool.

Keep posting - keep it up!

btw - I'm originally from NY as well - good luck up there - the music scene is awesome in NY.

Always-Dark responds:

I didn't know you were "originally from NY". The music scene is good here, i just need to buy me a set of turntables, some good 12" and ill be set. but right now at 15....im pretty much limited to my FL Studio...

Pretty decent.

Needs a little more variety but it was alright.. I think that you should consider either gating the drums a little or add some reverb - in fact add a ton of it and cut out all frequencies over... ohhh say 2500 or 3000 maybe - that way you'll be left with a nice deep "rumbling" reverb without the highs that usually make it sound like you're in a gymnasium...

Hope I helped

DJLezlee responds:

Yea it did sound better when I tried it. Thanks I may need to use that later.

Nice.....

Holy sh1t man... A-Team rocked... This was funny and unexpected enough to gain you a few points here and there - I could easily overlook any other problems just on the kitch value alone. Not a bad remix either - considering how corny the theme was... You did a nice job on the beats - the bass wasn't bad either but felt like it should have been an octave lower.

Good job - made me laugh a little!

Nice work man... you're doing very well...

DJLezlee responds:

Thanks again ljcoffee.

Nice job on this one!

Nice choppy vocals - you did a nice job on that - it sounded a little quantized in parts - to many notes hitting on too many regular beats but I really liked it. The beats were pretty standard but not too bad.. Maybe a few rolls or fills here and there - (just personal preference - I lean toward D&B and Jungle) - Maybe you should remix it - maybe swing the vocals higher and lower in parts - an entire octave up or down for a 16th or a triplet here and there - sort of 5th element style... - Nice happy tune though, the reversed reverb on the vocals was good. The support elements - pads etc. were there - I'm sure of it but they were not apparent - I was focused too much on the operatic element. The bass needs a little fattening up - sounded too bouncy -

I like this one best so far!

Great job!

DJLezlee responds:

Thanks ljcoffee. Great advice. I'm gonna play around with this one and a remix may be on the cards.

I do all of the above. I mean it. I can back it up too.
