Nice tempo

Some of the instruments sounded a little trancy for D&B but a nice job of mixing timbres overall.

Suggestions - the drum riffs do change up but it feels very abrupt. If you could work on the transitions a little - make the cuts a little smoother between riffs then I think it'll make a huge difference.

Overall, you've done a good job with this.

I'm voting 4 for this - a few tweaks and this would get 5's every time but it does sound like it needs just a little bit of work.

Decent track

A little more ambient than I expected :)

This would work well in a Flash submission as a background sound track.

I'll have to check out your other stuff - I was expecting something a little more musical I suppose... :)

Walril-Darkeyes responds:

Well I'm on of them guys that likes to make music as correct as possible so AMbient is ambient and DnB is DnB :p Thanks for reviewing and enjoy my other stuff

Much much better!!

This sounds alot better than "Eckhart's Project One" - it's a little more balanced out.

You definitely added some bass! It was a very different sounding piece - a little difficult to follow in some places - that's not a bad thing though - It ended rather abruptly but that's no big deal. I think it definitely shows progress and only in a few days too!

I voted 4 on this piece bringing it from 3.75 to 3.80

I'm not really sure how to classify this - seemed like a mix of a few different styles - but it's great that you're experimenting a bit.

I know you probably worked pretty hard on it - but I would recommend that you zoom way in - get in there and tweak stuff down as far as 32nd triplets or even 64th's. Try changing up things a little more here and there maybe instead of 2 repeating bars do 2 repeats then a 3rd with a minor variation - then 2 more and another variation again... Mix it up a bit!

Great work so far though, - You're obviously getting the hang of the software and judging the advances made from the other day I think that you'll be making some really awesome tracks very very soon.

EckHart responds:

Thanks man! I do like this one alot better, and I'm glad you can tell that I have improved. I am going to take your advice and zoom in, and edit it and spend more time on my projects. But I am really glad that I am getting the hang of it. Thanks again!

Lose the drums!!!

I would suggest ripping out all of the percussion and focus solely on the piano.. Really nice keywork though. Definitely a very versatile artist!

I'm voting 5 ... 4 for the piece itself and 1 additional to counter the effects of any zero votes you might get.

Pyrostudios responds:

Thanx =-) did u look at PF BETA? cause i calmed it down a bunch so its not so distorted and such and i think the percussion sounds alot better but the guitars need soem work there !

STILL Great stuff...the music...not the foam

STILL Awesome work - I'm sorry that this is going to be such a(nother) weak review but I still really don't have much to offer as far as improvements.

I'm voting 5 for this. (again)

;) next time maybe I'll be a little more inspired to actually write something worth reading...

(you get the really lazy copy-paste review)
=D

Pandora-Tranquil responds:

lazyass lol

Dude...

There is seriously something wrong with you!! ha ha!

Yeah - I can just see my fat-assed Aunt Edna just PUNISHING the floor of the reception hall to this one...

So how many broken hips do you think that this would create at your average Italian wedding?

Not a bad job of trancifying that old thing though.. I liked the tempo changes. Well done.

PERVOK responds:

lolz man this review made mw laugh out loud!

the reason y i made this is cause my sister got married a couple days ago.
and what song did they play a the dance?
none other than the chicken dance.
then trance beats started running through my head...
my mom and dad love this song lol

Hmmm...

OK - experimental work I guess... Sorry to say but this isn't your best work. I'm sure you know that anyway - Very short and ummmm quirky?

I actually liked the warped up stuff - I just don't think that it works very well in trance.

I would normally vote 3 on something like this but what-the-hell, it's tuesday (I think) so you get a 4 from me... =)

Pandora-Tranquil responds:

i know its not good i was jus messin around =P

mmmmmmm...... foam

Hmmm.....

OK, I know this is an early work so please don't take all of this the wrong way - I'm not trying to rip you up at all -

OK, from the beginning,
I see what you were trying for but when some additional stuff hits 5 bars in, then four more later the rest hits. - although the timing probably isn't off it really feels like it is. - maybe try a longer lead-in before you hit with everything all at once like that. Consider fading one or two tracks in over 8 or 12 bars instead of triggering everything all at once. That may help a bit.

The whole thing sounded a little tinny - not enough bass at all - the eq really needs some tweaking. Plus the quality is low on this - sounds a little like you put a speaker up to one side of a coffee can and a mic on the other. This is a problem but don't woryy about it too much - alot of people (like myself) have a problem with eq and levels at first. This is something that you'll get better at with time.

At one point it -almost- felt like you were about to deliver a bridge but just when I thought you were gonna change it up, you surprised me by just continuing on without any middle-8 at all.. heh heh... Toggling certain tracks on and off can be a useful tool but it doesn't usually create quite enough diversity to push a song up to the top.

This was alright for a first go at it. I expect that once you solve a few minor problems on your end and get used to your software that your quality will come up a bit.

I'm voting 3 on this - It wasn't a great track but
at least you decided to submit something to see what would happen. With proper development and a little extra effort - more diversity and maybe a more original chord progression - this track would have gotten a 4 and with good eq on top of that I would have voted 5 so please don't get discouraged - continue making tracks regardless of scores.

if you ever have any questions that you don't want to ask in the open forums just drop me an email and I'll help if I can.

Good luck!

EckHart responds:

Thank you SOOO much, man. That's the kind of response I was looking for. I really appreciate the tips, comments, and critisism. I can see what you mean when you point it out like that. I also really appreciate how you put it, instead of just saying that it was just okay and not explaining why. I do have the intention on fixing it up a bit. I just wanted to see what I should fix up, though. You truly seem to know what you are talking about and I appreciate it greatly. Thanks again, and hope to hear some more comments from you in the future. If you have any tips at all for me that you might have forgot, my AIM sn is EvilMonkey1545. If you could IM me and you could give me some more hints and ideas. Thanks again for the review!

Nice keys!

Great work - I'm basing this review off of the assumption that you played it yourself - Absolutely fantastic work. I see that you're interested in the collab - based on this you'll get my rocommendation in a second...

Nice job - I'm voting 5

Please don't ruin this and let me find out that this isn't really your work...

Pyrostudios responds:

thanx i started out playing it myself and when i recorded it it came out REALLY CRAPPY not the playing the quality there was a bunch of static and shit so i recomposed it onto the program. but i am glad u liked it!

I do all of the above. I mean it. I can back it up too.
