Hmmm.... avant garde perhaps?

Originality - well, if you based this on something else then I couldn't tell - it sounded way too random though - almost like the experimental 12 tone composition method, but I'll give you the benefit of doubt on this.

Clarity - Yes, I could hear it - the clarity was actually pretty good - too bad the rest wasn't though... :(

Diversity - one single instrument - and not a very compelling composition so.. not really a great score here either

Effort - Sorry but it really sounded like something that a random midi music generator would pump out - that or quantized keymashing - this did not sound intentional.

Overall - either way I don't want to be too hard on you but this track wasn't great - I cannot vote higher than 2.

I'm sorry if it seems like I'm trying to rip you a new one here - I'm not - I'm just giving you an unbiased fair and honest review and score.

Keep trying though - don't get discouraged and seriously - if you need any help just ask me in the forums or email.

Check your levels...

Since this is one of the first reviews, I'll explain how/why I scored it like I did.

Originality - nothing jumped out at me - it sounded a little contrived honestly but you did try to mix it up a little here and there with the effects...

Claritry - The mastering was a bit on the flimsy side - the percussion was very muddled and the additional effects were all too loud by comparison.

Diversity - This wasn't a bad start but it was too repetitive considering the length - I think that maybe in a 3 or 4 minute track you could get away with the same beat for that long but not in this one.

Effort - it really sounded like you were way too anxious to submit something and threw this together quickly - You'll need to change things up a little - try some variation next time.

Before you get pissed, let me remind you that I'm just trying to help you out.

Although I feel a little bad about it, I'm voting 3 on this - I can't really give you anything higher at this point.

Keep at it - you show some promise but you need more practice.

Decent work - gets the 5 - It's a little phucked up at the end where it loops - I'll need to listen a few times to guess if it was intentional or not but that's no biggie.

BTW - you use Reason yes? I'm pretty sure you've used both Reason and FL but I may pick up a copy of Reason 3 to see what all the fuss is...

Ive used reason and FL...but the only thing i found useful about reason is the fact that the STRINGS ARE REAL!

So what's the deal here - sick of ParagonX9 being the "king o' da pordull"?? Trying to give him a run for his money are we? This is just a hair away from being right there!

You did a great job on this - it sounds like you've used detuned pads/swells here and there - sounds like they have just the slightest warble or vibrato - which gives it a gritty, unclean feeling - makes me not want to touch it for fear of infection - which I really like very much - the slight dissonance adds a certain tension which, coupled with a fast paced tempo and (perhaps) some gating makes it feel like you're running and fighting for your life -

BTW - Take as many grains of salt as you'd like with this because although I know it's a remix, I have not listened to the original piece so I really honestly don't know what you've changed.

Great work though - feel free to remix any of my stuff any time you'd like, I'd love to hear the results! - I can always supply you with source material to chop and pull apart.

Well done piece of work - it sounded just a bit light on the low end registers - could have used a big ass bass boost but other than that it was good. Are you by any chance mastering on headphones? Just curious.

Anyhow - I'd suggest you recheck your levels a bit to insure that the bass is nice and thick

I'm just listening to this on my headphones right now, sounds way different than my pc, voices are way louder and the bass is less bassy on my headphones XD

Great Ambience

Very nice - head trip music indeed - a little on the ever so slightly creepy side in some places - I loved the static hats - lows were nice too - Really good stuff here. Some of the timbres were absolutely fantastic - the ... well... I'll call 'em the "frolling swells" - anyways they were really nice - you get a big 5 from me.
