Song #2

Drums sounded like they were taken (almost) directly from "Blur" "Song 2" - electric guitar?? where was it - maybe I missed it.. I was kinda expecting an actual guitar from your description - Midi sounds aren't great but they'll do I guess... not a bad riff - didn't care for the portamento at the end. You've got talent - but it doesn't sound like you're doing anything new... I'm sorry - I'm really not trying to come down hard on you - it may sound like it but All of your scores are still 7 or higher - which means that as far as I'm concerned you're still better than a LOT of people here.

Keep it up - experiment - try new things!

Good job!

Cheers for the review. No it isn't an actual electrical guitar, sorry if I mislead you lol. Anywayz, yea thnks for the compliment and the advice, I shall experiment! ;)

Not bad...

Not really my thing so don't take any of this too seriously. The vocals were less than great IMO. The problem seems to be that she sounds very young.. too young - and it seems to take a moment or two for her to find the right key. - The music however is decent if a little on the standard - dance to it - side. You didn't do anything wrong, but you also haven't broken any new ground. The melodies - although they did work themselves out eventually felt a little odd - not really a bad thing - but they did sound a little like you were doing something 'unexpected' with the melody only for the sake of not doing a standard progression. The stabs were a little corny. My advice, lose the vocals - or apply a really wicked treatment to 'em - avoid over smoothing the vocals too as the more you try to cover up little mistakes in the vocals by processing them, the more apparent it becomes that they needed to be fixed.

Pretty good overall - I wouldn't listen to it in my car or anything but it shows that you have talent in the area.

Keep it up!

Thanks for the review. Man I love feedback. :)

Not bad for a techno game

Don't listen to Chronamut - he's a zealot ;)

No - actually I agree with what he said - very big techno feel - although I could still see this used in more current games...

Military drumline and sweet little pizzicato melodies - all put together nicely!

You're stuff is all good man - I'll drop back in a few and review the rest..

Really nice work

I listened to Ocean Melody right before this - they're very similar - I'll bet they'd blend right into one another nicely if laid back to back on a CD.. Same comments as I had for Ocean Melody - It's manic depressive stuff - upbeat and laid back at the same time - alot of people try to achieve that same feel though - and fail where you have succeeded!

Great work all around!

Nice stuff here!

Nice portamento - good little bends here and there on the stringsynths - not sure what to think about it though - very laid back melodies - relaxed pads and fairly upbeat rythm - makes me wanna go in two directions at once - would be great X music ... or so I hear...

Great job!

Awesome!

Awesome track - nice upbeat energetic stuff - I like the pseudo 303 - good stuff man! - I could definitely hear this as background music for any recent action game title.

You're awesome... I'm a fan now.

Not bad at all...

Another really good track - not your BEST track but still VERY VERY good. I won't even try to critique your work - I can't really find fault and I'm not one to throw stones but I just didn't like this as much as some of your other work.

Overall really good though - your very talented.

Very well done

I dont usually give out very many straight 10's - this is a great track. Nice beat - good blips - really VERY well put together. This is the first track of yours that I have listened to and I will definitely check out your other stuff now as well!

Keep up the fantastic work!

Amen brother...

Just remember - although the amen break was very cool back a little ways - it's now sort of looked at as a cliche - it's ok to use it still, as long as you do something really awesome somewhere else in the track to make up for it...

Just use those breaks as examples - and build off of them to create your own...

This was a really good start - a little monotonous after a bit - bass was plenty fat but needed more variation - and the two basslines that you used didn't feel like they fit as well as they coulda' - Decent rolls and fills here and there though - keep practicing and you'll get it down...

Keep doin' it to it!

Really good dude...

So let me see then - two or three days back it was "how the hell do I get my shit sounding like D&B" - and now it does....

Still alot of trance influence in it but that's really cool too. - Even threw in a little glitch for me huh? :)

This was a really good track - It needs a little work - something more - maybe some additional ambience but for an early work this was very good!

Keep it up!! - Looking forward to watching your progression...
